This module aims to provide students with the necessary skills to successfully design and implement a complete unified communications infrastructure.

Learning Outcomes

On completion of this module the learner will/should be able to;


Deploy single site and multiple site unified networks


Manage user accounts and differentiate endpoints


Configure voice gateways and call routing components


Design call privileges, coverage and media resources

Module Assessment Strategies

Contineous assessment will take place in a laboratory environment employing simulation techniques as well as hands on testing using approved industry standard equipment

Unified Communications Manager Archittecture

Multisite WAN with Centralized and Distributed call processing

Clustering over IP WAN environment

User account settings and privilidges

Integration of catalyst multilayer switch environment

Voice Gateways, call routing and PSTN/ISDN integration
