Description

Description and measurement of drainage systems  -  scheduling, measurement; ‘Siteworks’ measurement  -  scheduling of items included, identification of ‘stand alone’ items (walling, fencing, gates, concrete paving, tarmacadam paving, kerbing, planting), measurement; description and measurement of services in accordance with ARM4; description and measurement of ‘civil works’ (watermain, structures, road work) in accordance with CESMM4; preparation of BoQ insertions for specialist work (PC Sums, Provisional Sums) including associated builder’s work and attendances

Learning Outcomes

On completion of this module the learner will/should be able to;

1.

Describe and measure domestic drainage systems                                                                                  

2.

Schedule and measure siteworks to selected domestic buildings

3.

Describe and measure services installations - mechanical, electrical, lift, telecoms, alarm                  

4.

Prepare BoQ insertions for specialist work (PC Sums, Provisional Sums) together with attendances                                                  

5.

Describe and measure builder’s work to specialist work  -  ducts, bases, holes
