Description

THis module gives the learner an overview of the planning and its position within the management of the firm. THe course introduces the learner to the various forms and stages of construction planning with particular emphasis on the critical path method. THe module will cover the critical aspects of construction planning and will demonstrate their use through software applications.

Learning Outcomes

On completion of this module the learner will/should be able to;

1.

Demonstrate an understanding of planning and its position within the management field.

2.

Analysis the application of the critical path method in construction planning. 

3.

Assess various projects using the main constuction planning techiques, such as, precedence diagrams and network analysis.

4.

Evaluate the main techniques relevant to time and project scheduling.

5.

Apply the use of modern project planning software for construction projects.
