Introduction to measurement of building work and the work of the Quantity Surveyor
Learning Outcomes
On completion of this module the learner will/should be able to;
Know the principles and practice of measurement of basic buildings
Recognise and use quantity surveying skills essential for measurement of building work
Apply basic mathematical rules to building measurement (areas, volumes, weights, centre-line)
Measure basic building quantities from a drawing or on site
Know the common units of measurement for basic construction items
