Description

The aim of this module is to develop the students knowledge of management theory and the skills required to carry out the core management functions within the built environment.

Learning Outcomes

On completion of this module the learner will/should be able to;

Understand current and emerging themes in management practice within the construction industry.

Appreciate the need to uphold high ethical standards in the performance of one's duties.

Define conflict, recognise its manifestations and participate in conflict resolution.

Recognise different types of leadership and the appropriate circumstances for their use.
