Instrumentation and control for online qualifiers 2

Learning Outcomes

On completion of this module the learner will/should be able to;

1.

Design circuits to solve simple signal−conditioning problems, using op−amps

2.

Design interfacing circuits to switch/drive a DC load, using a transistor

3.

Design timer circuits to provide timing pulses and delays, in mechatronics systems

4.

Perform simple calculations on a closed loop control system

5.

Present technical information in written/graphical form

Indicative Syllabus

Signal−conditioning, including use of operational amplifiers, Transistor as a switch, snd 555 Timer applications.
