HRM08007 2016 Employee Resourcing and Talent Planning
This subject aims to provide the student with a solid grounding in the current theory and practice of employee resourcing and to develop basic skills which relate to this area such as attracting and selecting talent.
Learning Outcomes
On completion of this module the learner will/should be able to;
Illustrate and examine the major features of the employment market from which employers source staff
Describe and appraise alternative recruitment methods
Describe and critique alternative selection methods
Devise and conduct a recruitment and selection exercise
Describe and examine the role of Employer Branding in Employee Resourcing and Talent Planning
Teaching and Learning Strategies
A combination of lectures (live and /or recorded), videos, class discussions, guest speakers, case studies, guided readings and practical skill workshops are used to enable students to relate to and understand module concepts and their application.
Module Assessment Strategies
A combination of in class exercises, multiple choice tests, written research reports, oral presentations, skill demonstrations and end of semeseter examination will be used as appropriate, for formative and/or summative assessment.
Repeat Assessments
Repeat end of semester examination and/or repeat continuous assessment, as appropriate
