Description

 In this model students will examine their design work to date. They will edit their work and use design software such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Audacity, Director, Dreamweaver to produce a Design portfolio. This will include developing a brand for their own work, developing mission statement, a digital presence for themselves and designing any printed material such as a business card and branded stationary.

 

Learning Outcomes

On completion of this module the learner will/should be able to;

1.

Use multimedia software to produce an interactive digital portfolio.

2.

Develop an online presence as a designer.

3.

Develop a design brand for themselves.

4.

Apply an editorial process to examine and improve their design work to date.

Module Assessment Strategies

The subject will be evaluated by a combination of tutorials, assignments and final examination.

The student will recieve instruction in a specific area in the form of a tutorial. This will be followed by assingments where the student applies the knowledge gained. The semester will conclude with a final project.

Indicative Syllabus

Digital Presence: Use multimedia software to produce an engaging digital user experience that showcases the students work to date and also demonstrates their competences as a professional designer.

Develop a Brand: Use the design process to examine themselves as a designer and produce a brand for themselves that expresses their design personality.
