This module will develop a range of design communication and representation skills using appropriate media  including personal skills involving discussion, negotiation, and team-working.


Learning Outcomes

On completion of this module the learner will/should be able to;


Deliver visual, verbal and written presentations utilising appropriate language, terminology and representational graphics


Compile and deliver a presentation to a peer group and to listen and critically respond to the views of others


Produce orthographic and paraline architectural drawings aligned with studio design projects


Integrate the context, use and cross-referencing of design information in a set of drawings


Construct and utilise scale models, using appropriate materials, as a design development tool from concept to presentation stage aligned with studio design projects


Create detailed and accurate design drawings within a CAD programme


Generate design images from CAD models


Create and modify advanced imagery within an image editing programme

Formative and summative continuous assessment modes using a range of techniques which includes group and/or individual work mainly: drawings, models and presentations in various media
