Description
This subject aims to provide students with the necessary skills to Architect for Virtualization and Private Cloud. To provide students with the necessary skills to build and configure Virtualization infastructure using Server Virtualization Technology.To provide students with the necessary skills to build and configure a Private Cloud infastructure.
Learning Outcomes
On completion of this module the learner will/should be able to;

The student will be able to Plan and Design Virtual Infastructure
2.
The student will be able to build the Resource Pool for Virtualization
3.
The student will be able to build and configure Virtualization infastructure using Server Virtualization Technology.
4.
The student will be able to build and configure Private Cloud infastructure
Module Assessment Strategies
The module will be assessed by configuring and troubleshooting Virtualization Resource Pool throughout the module using the following technologies , Physical Servers, Virtual Servers , Citrix Virtualization Software,System Center Virtual Machine Manager 2012)
The students will undertake regular assessments using physical hardware and software and other networking equipment.
The students will undertake regular assessments using Multiple choice question sets and the students will take a written exam and end of module

Perform a Comprehensive Analsysis on current infastructure for move to Virtual Infastructure
Perform a power and cooling audit
Perform a server consolidation study
Choose a Server Virtualization Technology
What to Virtualize
Choose implementation method
Create Backup Plan
2. Build the Resource Pool for Virtualization
Prepare the Network Layer
Prepare Storage
Prepare Storage Configurations
Prepare Host servers
3. Build and configure Virtualization infastructure using Server Virtualization Technology.
